Biloxi MS Military Relocation

by admin on March 5, 2011

Biloxi Water TowerHere we go – its time to move again. As a “military brat”, I remember how burdensome it could be to move every couple of years and I even remember the issues with buying and selling homes. Although I was to young to understand then, I am not now.

Military families have a hard time moving and buying a home in an unknown area can be very difficult. You have to know a lot about what you want, where you want to be, etc. The biggest problem though is not knowing if you will be able to sell your home fore more than you purchased it if you get orders somewhere else in 2-3 years.

Great news if you are PCS’ing to Biloxi. You can have a friend in the business. As a real estate investment analyst, I am able to help you look at purchases not only from social standpoints, but also from a potential of appreciation. Biloxi, historically, offers very good appreciation even in slower economies because of strong economic engines which include KAFB, NCBC, ship building and other government contracts, tourism, and casinos. Biloxi also has some of the most undervalued real estate in the country. Not being effected by skyrocketing prices like other waterfront cities, there is still a lot of room for homes to appreciate in value.

There is no catch-all community for military families, but there are numerous which have a high dominance of military families. This is partially because of easy access to the base(s), proximity to shopping, and schools.
