McGill Lake in Gulfport MS is any nature-lover’s paradise and a wonderful place to call home. With average home sites between 1 and 3 acres, you have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the landscape as well as the lake. McGill Lake is located with very easy access to major shopping, dining, and entertainment in Gulfport, but just outside of the city limits, keeping property taxes low and offering a quiet environment for wildlife.
McGill Lake is stocked and the fishing is great – if you are a resident, as only residents are allowed to fish or enjoy the lake. This helps keep the area clean by minimizing outside influence. Residents realize the ability to find serene lakefront living like this is difficult any closer to town and it is hard to find homes for sale. There are occasionally lots for sale to build a home (I have builders, no worries), but when a home comes up on the lake – you have to move fast because people are actively scouting this community waiting for something to come up.
