Windance Country Club, Gulfport, MS

The Windance community is a gorgeous golf course and lake-front subdivision located just outside of the Gulfport, MS city limits. Windance Country Club is now casino owned and operated by the Island View Casino Resort and is a revered golf course and country club here on the Mississippi Coast. Designed by Mark McCumber in 1986, the golf course is 6,660 yards from the pro tees with a slope rating of 129. There is quite a bit of water alongside the fairways and the greens are well groomed and challenging. The course has hosted Ben Hogan and Nike Tour Golf Tournaments and has ranked as high as third best in the state.

Windance offers excellent access to shopping and entertainment. It’s located about 5 minutes from Gulfport’s 2 large malls, the Crossroads and Prime Outlets. A great aspect of the Windance community is the alternate route options that allow residents to avoid the busy Highway 49 traffic. Windance is about 15 minutes from white sand beaches and about 5 minutes from Interstate 10 by two separate arteries.

Homes in Windance start in the low $200,000’s and go up well above the $500,000’s. Many of the more expensive homes sit alongside the expansive lake or on the golf course. These homes have great appreciation potential as fewer developments offer golf course and waterfront amenities combined. Being in the county and north of the interstate, Windance residents enjoy less expensive tax and insurance rates.
